Doctors of Physical Therapy is a Medicare approved facility and accepts patients with Medicare Part B coverage.
Medicare Part B covers outpatient physical therapy services (including our Fall Prevention Program) which are reasonable and necessary, and that have been ordered by a physician.
Doctors of Physical Therapy will provide a free screening and evaluation report which can be taken to our physician in order to obtain a prescription for physical therapy. Once your physician has provided you with an order for physical therapy, we will continue treatment and design a plan of care designed specifically to meet your needs.
Medicare will be billed for services rendered at Doctors of Physical Therapy, and approved services are typically paid at 80% of the Medicare Fee Schedule once a patient's deductible has been met. Based on your secondary insurance carrier, the remaining 20% may be covered in full, or you may be responsible for the balance.
It is very important to let our staff know about any secondary insurance policy you may have so that we can forward the balance not paid by Medicare to that carrier for payment on your account.
